Horse Passion Summer Day Camps

Learn communication and relationship building through a simple whisper.

Horse Passion Summer camp’s focus is to help prepare girls for productive middle and high school experiences that will bring them into adulthood better prepared for life using

education and facilitation of the horse language otherwise known as “horse whispering”.

Through the language of the horse and herd dynamics girls learn the similarities between horse and human interaction that create a sustainable understanding of the world of communication and how critical it is to our growth into adulthood.

The "Horse Language" is the communication of horses that establish friendship and leadership within the herd. Horses communicate by playing 7 games using body language.  The “whisper” is what one sets out to achieve when working with the horse. It is the ultimate goal and coincides with “joining up” with a horse or herd as to be accepted and trusted as alpha (or leader).  This equates to a girl being confident of who she is and what her values are.

Because horses operate out of one of two parts of the brain, they are the perfect living tool to teach about self-control and authority figures. In right brain horses are flight driven. Survival methods kick in and they experience fear at different levels. The right-brained horse is very dangerous. As human beings we tend to “act out” become emotional or sometimes irrational – we are right brained at that point.  Young adolescent girls have lots of reasons to be right brained.  But they don’t have to stay that way. On the other hand, horses operating out of the left-brain are rational. They are responsive to learning and are receptive to their teacher. Additionally, they are pliable and teachable and achieve goals with ease. Keeping a horse left-brain is the goal of the teacher (and/or student).  When a girl understands these two reactive behaviors – she can recognize and quickly bring herself back from reacting to responding.  From right brain to left brain thinking, in essence taking control of her emotions and words and becoming gentler and self-controlled.
